Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026.

We keep data collection to a minimum. This policy explains what happens when you use connectioncafe.us, the site that hosts the Wood Elf Name Generator.

What the generator stores

The name generator runs in your browser. The names you generate, the settings you choose and the first name and birth month you enter in the “Find my wood elf name” tab are processed on your device and are not sent to us. If you press Save, the name is stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. You can remove it with the Remove or Clear all buttons, or by clearing your browser data.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect the names or other details you type into the generator. If you contact us, we receive your email address, your name and your message so we can reply. The contact form opens your own email app, so the message travels by email and is not stored by a form service on our site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (Google tag) to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they view and which device and browser they use. Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser details, pages viewed and time on site, and it uses cookies or similar technology to do this. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the tool. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and basic traffic measurement.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to run and secure the site, understand usage, fix problems, and answer your messages. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the generator inputs for advertising.

Third parties

Besides Google Analytics and our hosting provider, we do not share personal information with third parties. The site may link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

Children

This site is a general-audience fantasy tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we will honor valid requests. You can also clear saved names and cookies at any time in your browser. Send requests through our contact page or to contact@connectioncafe.us.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, such as adding advertising, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.
